berreez, Are you sure that you have an electric heating rod in your Water heater tank? I looked at a 2015 Owners Manual and it is not listed. In reading the manual it tells you how to use propane to heat the water. Have you heated by propane yet?
The manual looked to be very generic and not for your specific model so look at the manual and then look at the water heater users manual, that should tell you if you have an electric element.
I see that you're not a new member so the Thor must be new to you, my suggestion is to first find out if you even have an electric element, determine the make and model of the water heater and the update your question.
