I have a 1977 dodge sportsman trying to find out what size invter to get to run my ac and other stuff in my rv, how many watts 1000 or bigger or which size one I need can anyone help me out, my ac is on the roof top?

You can look for owners manuals on ebay.

Poncho above indicated they had one with the 360 engine and got 14mpg.

We had a 77 Dodge passenger van on 3/4 ton chassis with 318 engine. It was a dog as far as power goes, really had to stick you foot in it to get up hills. Best we ever got was 16, but usually less than that. Your unit will be heavier than our van.

I had one. It had the 360, would get about 14 mpg with it. It was on a 1/2 ton chassis, which made it sway quite a bit. Could have used heavier suspension.
