Good to hear! You've got such a small amount of money invested, it would be hard to replace it with anything even close to it without spending $7000 on something that looks like everything else on the road, not to mention trying to find something in 4WD form for those backroads!

You've got to realize, a girl friend can suck the fun out of a lot of things, though. :B

After talking with the girlfriend we decided we were going to put the Beaver up for sale and I was kind of bummed about it. That is, until we went camping in it twice now this year and I got the stove and fridge working so she said I couldn't sell it for less than $4k, so basically she is saying we should keep it, so yay! I think the fact that the fridge got the beer ice cold helped as well.

On that note, its that time of year where I can continue on fixing a bunch of the little things. First on that list is the loud leaking manifold.

I was able to do a little work on the camper this week. I finally got 1 end of the rear rack chopped off so it's easier to load/unload my dirtbike. My plan is to build some sort of hinging ramp that will pin up when hauling but we will see what the final result ends up being.. Depending on if I get a garage built or not it probably won't happen until this winter or next spring though.

I was wondering if someone could help me out. Anyone know the cover that I need for my refridgerator roof vent? This is what is there now..

I have a switch as well. I don't know of any "delay" involved though. I believe the switch just determines what battery you are using/charging. Seems to work anyways.

I didn't have any starting issues for the first year I owned the clipper. At first, it was only when I was filling the fuel tanks - then it started happening randomly when I turned off the engine. Didn't matter if the engine was hot or cold, etc. Got to the point that I couldn't trust the clipper.

Sounds like you have a similar setup to what I've got set up. Under normal circumstances, when I start the engine, the house battery is disconnected (via a delay switch) for about 20 seconds. Once the engine is running, the delay ends and the house battery charges off the alternator. If the engine battery is low or dead, I flip a toggle switch and cancel the delay and start the engine with the house battery.
