It is an unsavory problem but can be solved if you look at places that you can cut an access hole into a storage compartment or take a drawer or 2 out of a built in chest or in a closet where the washer/dryer hook up would be. We have 2 cats also and solved the box problem by putting it in the under bed storage compartment by cutting a hole in the end of it. When we need to dip out the bombs we just have to lift up the end of the bed and do the job. Its also big enough to store a box of clean litter and the small vacuum we keep on hand.
