Unfortunately to many 30A CGs have old wiring an worn plugs. It's not uncommon to experience power problems with older 30A pedestals. In addition 50A pedestals are wired with larger wires so they tend to have less power problems.
Many posters with a 30A rig prefer to use a 50/30 adapter and plug into a 50A plug. But if the 30A pedestal is in good condition then there is no concern with it's usage.
