I have a modified 50 amp rig.. here is how it works
IF I am on a 50 amp site... Everything is wired as designed.. Both A/C's work at the same time as the Air Conditioner. The only time I do anything special is if the weather is well below freezing and then I run a 2nd power cord (Installed) for an extra heater.
On a 30 amp site I "Break out" one circuit, this circuit has one outlet (Special you can not plug most things into it) and one air conditioner.. Just now I have a heater running on it, later today I'll kill the heater and later yet fire up the A/C.
The break out is 12ga wire to a plug and outlet in a outside box (Weather tight) normally you plug the plug into the outlet and everything is normal.
On 30 amps though I do have to play power limit games... For example I turn off the water heater when I turn ON the microwave. also the other A/C. I can run A/C and water heater but not Microwave and A/C or Water heater for some reason.
