I am not surprised to find the electrical service at private RV parks in need of repair. I would not plug in without a surge supressor device. The one i bought also shows if their stray current on the ground line and if the neutral is switched.
The newer the RV the newer the electronics and the more vulnerable they are to surges and current at the ground. Why take the chance of damage and the cost and inconvenience of having the fridge not work in the middle of a trip or the stereo, the TV, and other electronic items?
