- wa8yxmExplorer IIIYES, no problem, there are differences but the adapter takes care of it.
You can do the reverse too but you are limited on how much electricity you can use at one time. - restlesswindExplorerSome parks that only have 50 amp service will have the adaptors on hand for sale.(At twice the price.)It's a good idea to carry one with you.
- Chuck_GailExplorerWe use our adapter several times every year. Either only 50 amp, or sometimes the 30 amp outlet is broken. Works fine.
- ScottnSherrieExplorerIf you want to get fancy, you could build your own auxillry shore. With two 30 amp RV outlets and two separate 20 amp outlets. heck, I'll bet someone already does build and sell something like that.
- Dutch_12078Explorer III suggest carrying the adapter with you even if the park does have 20/30/50 amp power stanchions. It's not uncommon to find cracked or badly worn 30 amp outlets, while the less often used 50 amp outlet is in good shape. Just plug in your adapter, and you're good to go with no hassles about changing sites or waiting for maintenance to show up. I would report the problem outlet though, before I left the park.
- Most 50a sites have 50/30/20 connectors. No adapter needed. Call and verify.
Otherwise yes the adapter is fine. - GMT830ExplorerYup
