We've had both, still prefer a motorhome over a trailer. It's a snap to unhook or hookup a car. You can leave a motorhome in a store parking lot for the day and unhook car and go sight seeing or to your favorite restaurant without looking like you're camping. You always have a generator and can run your air-conditioner 24/7. If you have a dog it is necessary to have the air on if it's a hot day. My sister and her husband have a 5th wheel and many of times have to go to a fast food restaurant because she can't leave the dogs in the 5th Wheel. If we are traveling with them they puts their dogs in our motorhome. I would have a 5th Wheel if were parked permanently.
