an unlit storage area? I wish you luck. many people haven't got good things to say about situations like that. Many have found their units broken into.

I pay for space myself, 110 a month! and where I park is n t to a fence that seperates my unit from the adjacent street. At frst I was leary but the TT s fully insured and the storage lot is watched by video 24 7 . I dont want to jinx it but no issue here yet?

In the future open the door and turn on the porch light. At least you will have light on one side. My trailer has "flood lights" (That is what the call them. Just brighter white lights) mounted on each side. Two switches and I have light on both sides.

Yes , it is Canada. A fellow TT owner recommended the site. It has a high fence, large secured gate, and 24 hour video. The TT is insured. There are hundreds of RV's already parked there. I cannot store it at home.

Ours is stored under cover in a lit area not far from our home. I pay $360 a year for 40' storage space (no electricity...just under cover). The only problem I have is that the storage is within a RV Park. The park is gated but the stored units are not separated from the park with a separate fence or gate which makes it easy for children etc. to goof around the stored units. We went to get our FW recently and some kids were riding a golf cart though the area in between all the stored units. That area should be off limits! We later found a white scuff mark about the height of the roof of the golf cart at the back end on one side of our FW. I know it wasn't there when we put our FW in storage last because we thoroughly washed/waxed before storing it and no one has been parked on that side of us since we parked it. Our unit can be seen from the highway and we drive by often. The kids were driving recklessly around and I am certain they hit it somehow. I didn't notice the scuff until we arrived home to load the camper and when we returned after the weekend trip, the kids were no longer there. I can't wait to get our own barn built at home to store our FW and not have to worry about incidents like this.

I don't like to park our TT alone and don't rely on my 9 year-old daughter to help when we drop off without the DW. Backing in a space at night and alone would be a challenge...I'd have to take some glow sticks or flash lights to mark my left and right limits.

One of the things I have in my RV are a bunch of solar "Path Lights" I use them in the winter to mark hazards (Since there are many in one of the parks I frequent) .

They can also be used to mark your site.

When backing in, in the dark, I always place a couple lite flashlights on both sides of the spot I am backing into. In fact I try to keep some extra small LED blue torch type lights handy and mark each side of the front of the spot too. Started doing this when I hauled fuel and had to back into spots at night where there was little or no lighting. If we ran over our flashlights, it was a chargeable accident! Like these:

Walmart sells them, as well as Home Depot. Called Life Gear 4 in 1 LED Glow Stick flashlight. Cheap and easy to see when backing up in the dark.

Those lights are a great idea. For the next couple of trips, DW will be there. I will add those lights to my Santa list for next year !
