My 08?? It is a 1 ton but SRW. Only difference is a extra leaf pack in the rear springs. My old truck was a 1999 Ram 2500 but the family outgrew it.
Your right about the new 3/4 tons, they just keep upping the ante on these trucks. Pretty amazing. They keep adding payload and tow capacity but down the road stability has to be affected at some point.
