Anti mold and fungas spray

I am getting ready to pick up m 2005 class A and have been advised by the dealer to have it sprayed with an anti mold and fungus disinfectant prior to delivery. Seems to me that it is just one of those money grabbing presale items that is not worth the expense. Has anyone had this done to their coach?

  • Household vinegar is a disinfectant, mild acetic acid and does a wonderful job of removing and preventing mold.

I'd wonder what was in the dealer's anti fungicide and if I could do it myself if interested before plunking down my money. I'd also wonder if the average RV is as airtight as modern homes; I kinda doubt it.
  • If you live in "wetter" Washington it may not be a Scam.

I've seen more then one used rig that had obvious mold/mildew issue. But then I also walked away from those rigs.

The winter clime in "wetter" Washington is hard on un-heated, un-protected RVs
  • Well let's see: Would you like toxic mold? Would you like toxic fungus? What about bed bugs, fleas, body fluid deposits? I say buy new or get it detailed to no contamination. Not just the surfaces, but the entire RV. Just make sure they are using non toxic cleaning products.
  • I've never run into this but it sure sounds like a Money Grab to me... I'd pass on it. Save the money and use it for some bleach 'IF' you ever run into any mold.
