- HockeytchrExplorerPlastic Boards are lighter but not as durable and they are a little slippery when the bags hit/land on them. They aren't as sturdy and are usually about the same price as a decent wood set.

This is the first I have heard of this game. We have played the Ladder ball game camping, but have not seen Cornhole. I googled it and was wondering if I could make this game next week. My band is playing this week-end. I'll be out of town, so I won't be able to do anything until Monday. The DW and I are going to Eureka Springs next Thursday and are meeting up with friends. It would be nice to have a Cornhole set by then. How heavy are these boards and bags anyway?
As for the old grumps, I follow the rules and go camping to have fun. I don't have any kids but I don't let it bother me others have them. If I'm going to some place for peace and quite, a CG is not the place. What I do hate is the person chopping wood at 5:30 in the morning. ( yes I've had that happen)

COME ON...You know you have to go camping and sit in front of your trailer and not have any fun your self!!!! It upsets the old grumps taking their naps
Just got back from the Arkansas mountians and it was nice. I think it would have been nicer if we had a CORN HOLE game to play. I'm old and know I don't have a lot of time left, so I'm trying to get as much fun out of life as I can. Now if only the party next to us would of invited us over for the poker game with drinks, I really would of had a good time.
Back to the problem of me not having a game yet... Are the plastic boards lighter, and do they work well?
Times a ticking, got to get me a game:B

Evidently regular campers would set up lights, etc., bring out the adult beverages and play until whenever. We were only there overnight but I must admit that the constant thump of bean bags in multiple games through the afternoon was pretty aggravating. Won't be back there any time soon.

Mick - Godsey97ExplorerI want to thank you all. I have been having a bad week and reading this thread has had me snorting and tears running down my cheeks. The DW keeps asking what is soo dang funny? I can't tell her without breaking up laughing.
As to the question, YES we have a set of bean bag boards (plastic actually) that stay in the MH. We also have ladder golf and the washers game. We play any of the three regularly.
I would hate to be camped next to a constant complainer that I had to walk on egg shells around to keep from "bothering them".
To me there is no better sound than that of children running around, laughing, yelling and playing. They have enough "serious" time and problems coming their way, let them be young.
To the above poster that said bean bags hurt when you get beaned, I can attest that ladder golf balls hurt like heck. We cobbled up a game set with PVC pipe and some used golfballs and string. We tried it out when we were at a campground and if you were not paying attention and cought one of those just right, it had something for you. - AllisonAndrewsExplorerI would say to ingore WandaLust2's attitude. I hate the noise that kids make when they are having fun or even the noise their bikes make (don't get me started on training wheel noise), but I would never tell someone they should leave them at home. We go camping to have fun and if we want quiet, we choose some place where you wont have any neighbors. Just observe quiet hours...
We have never played the bean bag toss, but we did ladder golf for several years and several different versions of washers. One hole, three hole, and now we are playing a five hole version.
We bring it along, but I admit that this newest version is a bit large and on the heavy side. Good thing you only play with one board. - Bucky_BadgerExplorer
