I personally prefer #1 but since we typically camp without electric hook-ups, we go for the solar LED variety. Set-up only takes a couple minutes (usually takes longer to detangle them!) Most of our camping trips are typically only 3-4 days but they are totally worth the effort, IMO. Just bought a set of Klippy Klips to use with the new camper's awning, I'm anxious to try them out. Looks like they will very very unobtrusive and since our lights aren't very heavy should hold them just fine. Klippy Klips
