Stuff like that happens. Somebody got screwed when I bought my truck last spring. We looked at what they had on the lot,did not have exactly the truck. Manager says how about that black one? There was an office huddle,we over heard "But that guy hasn't put a deposit down", and they asked us to go back out.
On the back service row they showed us a truck ,almost perfect. Truck did have 78 miles on it. We made the deal and drove away happy.
Month or so later, I was researching the VIN for some reason and found that the truck had been sold to another dealer in a town about 70 miles east of the dealer we bought from.. Apparently they had found this truck for another customer, but we were there with the cash ready to buy before he was.
