And what would this narrative sound like if it was written from the other buyer's perspective? They would have posted they were shown several rigs, settled on one they wanted, negotiated the deal, filled out all the paperwork, were ready to pay for it when the sales manager stopped the deal and said the vehicle wasn't for sale because some guy was "waiting to show it to his wife". They would have then posted they got upset and left the dealership to deal with one that was more honest. If your wife said "no" they would have also posted that they drove by a few days later and the rig was still sitting on the lot and everyone would be speculating on how stupid that dealer was to let a real buyer walk while waiting on a phantom "wife". Can't blame the dealer for taking a completed deal over one with lots of outs still on the board.
