I looked at a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ online and made a call to inquire about it. Got the background on it, said thanks I'll stop by tomorrow and hung up. Called before leaving the next day and the saleman told me they had sold the vehicle just 20 minutes before. I said ok, thanks again and that was it, so I thought. 2 days later the salesman called me and asked if I still wanted to buy the truck. The buyers had agreed to the purchase, and told the dealership they would return with financing. They never came back, never returned their calls, etc. My salesman was fit to be tied mad because it was a rookie salesman who never got a deposit nor any paperwork signed. I explained that I was one my way to pick up a truck from another dealership, so I wouldn't be by. I was a cash buyer.
Moral of the story- money talks and the rest walk. Yes, there are two sides to the story, and the first person to tear a check loose from their checkbook and pass it across the desk should be the winner.
