I have only been in one commercial CG that was off more than a few inches, and that was at a new one where the pad was gravel. fwiw, I also carry the legos along with some scrap lumber in my pickup bed.
I do rem the day I picked up my first camper and was asked where my brake controller was. "My WHAT? Whats a BC? Nobody said anything about that!" They delivered it to my home for free so I could research which one I wanted. It really is Much easier with the internet now.
