We were on the road traveling when we bought our MH. It was 200 miles away from dealer when fnally made purchase. They did a duplicate title on trade in. I called the dealer and made an offer on MH based only on 4% loan. They took loan app stuff on phone and could only get me 4.25% and 25 year loan with Bank of the West. My MH will be in a junk yard long before then. We just happened to have a small checking account with them for years we never use. That was the easy part. Since we would be traveling I asked for the payments to be taken out of a savings account and also opened a savings account. What we didn't tell the bank is we are going to pay it off in a year.First they took money from wrong account. Second when DW would make a bulk payment they tried to charge interest. Third if DW made a bulk payment they wouldn't take out normal payment then say the payment was due. Every month DW would be on phone trying to talk to those people. It is like talking to rocks. 7 months later this month they finally figured out how to take payment out of right account and properly credit a bulk payment without interest. In another 5 months it should be paid off and hopefully DW trained some of those idiots. Keep in mind if all else fails you can ask for a full bank audit because of fraud. DW just had to remind the bank supervisors that those are the rules we play by.
If your credit score is over 800 you should have no trouble getting a good loan anywhere. JMHO
