Best way to mount fake cameras ?

that go pro is some mighty expensive stuff. I bought my game camera with steel locking mount box at Bass Pro Shops for a lot less than those GPs. I wouldn't buy a camera that you couldn't buy a locking box for.

I put a fake owl (with hooting and flashing eyes) in the open shed at RV storage to scare away pigeons. They used it as another perch.

No, but the cameras on my camper have infrared capability (for nighttime use) and yes, they have red LED's around the lens so it's pretty obvious.

I use Foscam's 18910W (I think that's the right model).

What about using GameCams? You can buy some that take decent quality pics at places like Cabelas. Won't cost a fortune, you'll burn some batteries, but if there are any issues you can probably catch the culprits. You don't say what kind of unit you have, but they can be wrapped around things as they come with straps. Heavy duty double-sided Velcro will probably work but make sure you remove the cameras before you travel as you don't want them falling off onto a roadway possible causing damage.

I too had a few dummy cams installed on my house and when I had the guy come out to install the real thing, he laughed when he saw what I had. I installed 5 new outdoor cams and he had 3 broken cams in his truck so he mounted those also.
If you do go the fake route, DO NOT put the battery in it so the light flashes. No real camera has a flashing light!
