Bike Rack Recommendations

X3 for the Swagman. It is very adjustable and you can put all sizes and shapes of bikes securely on it. I have traveled with it for many miles and it is still in good shape.

We use a THULE two bike rack. Solid piece of equipment. Not cheap but worth every penny:

The rack has a threaded pin, as another poster mentioned about the rack they recommend. We use it in conjunction with this neat little item that tightens up the hitch from moving at all:

Hitch Clamp

No movement in the hitch at all, even when towing a 3000 lb boat.

My Swagman has the threaded bolt also and they all have a slight wobble, with the Hitch Vise there is no wobble at all and that is what you want.

I have a Yakima for up to 4 bikes; made well and no problems after 5 years.

I like the Swagman too but another thing to think about is the movement after it is installed,that is a big thing to adding life to your bike rack,after all they bounce around a lot while on the road.

x3 on the swagman. I am an avid cyclist, I have worked in bike shops selling expensive racks, (Saris, Thule etc) And the swagman is awesome. It is so easy to use, nothing rubs the paint, the bikes don't swing or move at all and there are no Velcro or rubber straps. It's just a great design and the materials seem to be holding up well after a year and about 30k miles.
