Black tank chemicals

What OB said. You can add water externally with lots of devices, including the ones he posted. Bottom line is you always want to have a few gallons of water in your black tank, ie, you never want it to dry out. Chemicals are up to you. The wife uses a blue powder in packets from Thetford.

Can't you put the chemicals in when you get home, just put the slide out at home.

Probably not any any easier...but I guess you could climb up on the roof and add them through the vent stack....

Ditto what K Charles says.....we never use chemicals.. Face it, those chemicals will end up in our "EARTH"......most dump stations are septic tanks (at least where we've been) and I cringe that the chemicals will go down to the ground water "some day".....

We use pee, poop, paper and lots of water. Save your money and put some water in it next time you set it up.

Can you extend the slide part way out? Do you have to slide it out all the way to get to the bathroom?

What type of chemicals do you use? We use an organic(bacteria,enzyme) chemical in our black tank. I don 't remember the name of it. 2scoops and there is no odour at all.
