Another thing you may want to try IF the black tank is directly below the toilet: take your awning rod, tie a string to the loop end so you don't lose it, and put it down the toilet hole and see if it hits the bottom of the tank while you still have a grip on it. If so, you can move it around to scrape and break up some of the solids. Rinse the rod with bleach water to sterilize afterwards and you are good to go.
