Maybe that's why a lot of people complain about the chlorine smell and taste.
The fix to that is follow up the sanitizing with a round of baking soda. It neutralizes the bleach and kills any excess smell or taste. We've been doing this for over 20 years, the RV dealer we bought our PUP from recommended doing this and it works very well.
How much per 15 gallons? - Campfire_TimeExplorer

What is the bleach to water mixture to sanitize?
1/4 cup of bleach to 15 gallons of water?
I've got it written down somewhere but can't remember where.:S
Thanks
Short answer: YES
Long answser: Also YES - Golden_HVACExplorerI only put about 1 ounce of bleach into my fresh water hose, and that is plenty to bring up the free chlorine levels to the 15 PPM level. That is plenty to kill the bacteria.
Any more and you get a lot of odor, and it will stay around through a couple of filling the fresh water tank and dumping it!
For a swimming pool, 1.2 PPM is plenty to kill that bacteria. City water systems try to run 1.0 PPM as the water leaves the plant. Once it hits the rusty city pipes, then it tends to drop a little, as it is killing any bacteria in the lines. . .
Fred. - mobeewanExplorerIn the olden days 1/4 cup (2 ounces) to 15 gallons for bleach with 5.25% sodium hypochlorite. Most bleach now a days is 8.25% sodium hypochlorite (says concentrated on the label) so you can get away with a little less bleach or about 1-1/4 oz per 15 gallons.
