It is not camping when you have a bed in one place, a toilet that you can flush and heat that answers to a thermostat.....
What ever you plan, spend a night in the driveway first. You will find something that you forgot.
The UP is a great destination. There is so much to see. Many of the state campgrounds are already booked solid. I don't go there because the bridge rips me off for a toll. (With a >10k# coach I get hit as if it were a Greyhound.) So, we only go there when we are already in WI.
The real difference between a boat and an RV is that water can leak out of an RV.
