Break Controllers

Hello and thanks to all in advance

I am a proud owner of a F-150 and need to put install controllers, is this fairly straight forward? I already have the electrical in the back but just need to purchase the device. Could I purchase the device on Amazon and have a local RV company install it? or should I just have the RV place take care of the purchasing and install? Any good brands? Could I install the device myself?Thank you and I will have many follow questions to come!

    If you are somewhat handy it's relatively easy to install a brake controller...

    Buy a controller (I like Prodigy) and order a wiring harness that is specific to your truck..

    Consider going with etrailer. They will have everything you need and have a great customer service outfit that can help you. They also have videos on their site that show how to install a brake controller..
