We have been AAA members for 19 years. We had AAA Plus with RV for the past 10 years. We have used it twice to tow both the TV and our Hybrid TT (when we owned it). We also used it once to put a spare on our motorhome when it had a blowout. We've used AAA many times for non-RV related roadside assistance.
We have had a great experience with AAA. All three times we have used it for the RV, we have had to wait up to a few hours, but AAA has always taken care of us. We live on the East Coast and travel on the east coast. AAA on the east coast has never let us down. Different regions offer different levels of service. We've used our AAA outside our region and have never had an issue. I have heard others in other parts of the country complain that AAA is not good in their area.
Determine where you plan to go and find out what AAA covers in those areas. You may find they aren't great in the areas you plan to visit. If you plan to stay along the east coast of the US, you should have no problems with them.
