Yes, believe it or not, camping and all those new fangled devices like the internet, and sat TV are entirely compatible !
Campground wifi is hit and miss. If you like getting on the net, you will probably not be happy with campground wifi. Campground cable TV varies from a few channels to several channels. But probably not HBO or the History channel.
I've been full timing for 2 years now. I have a Winegard Pathway X2 (Dish) and a Verizon MiFi with a Wilson booster. I also use a Straight Talk phone plan which uses Verizon as the carrier.
Most folks who travel will agree that Verizon has the best coverage nation wide.
I am continually amazed how I can be in some remote location in the mountains and at the end of the day check my email, pay bills, and then watch a movie on HBO.
