It pains me to pay the cable bill at home, so I do not pay for cable while camping. However, I was at one of those "free" cable sites, ONCE. I bought a 50' coaxial cable just to "see if the onboard plug-ins work".
It is very easy to store a 50' cable. The cable can be purchased for under $20.00 (probably closer to $10.00 if you look hard enough).Even if the CG has a cable at the pole,chances are it has been weather beatened, maybe even run over...having a quality cable on-board may improve your viewing pleasure.
