During Florida's rainy season, borax powder doesn't last long due to the daily showers and entry can occur from over-hanging branches, as well. Terro... is the Jim Jones of the Ant Temple. Although available in traps, I prefer the bottled liquid.
Upon seeing an ant inside the RV, I'll set out a few small pieces of tin foil, wax paper, business cards, or whatever; squeeze a couple of drops of Terro on them and let the party begin. I get about 3 days of mass parades to and from the little troughs, a somewhat alarming sight, I might add. But, at least they are centralized. Then the crowds start getting pretty thin. After about a week, all the revelers have gone home and taken their Borax with them. They've done all the work. The queen has died, the nest is destroyed, and I haven't missed anything with a spray. Case closed.... until next time.
