Please understand that my comments are not pointed at any specific person or group. But to simply explain a few comments made.
You are “Preaching to the Choir.”
I have been misunderstood… I am not preaching but “asking” the choir. Attempting to learn and gather valuable information from them. I know they know the “proper” etiquette. Please feel free to provide constructive comments.
My post was placed in the Beginning RVing forum. My hope was that I would get comments from other “choir” members and I would consolidate them and post the results. A simple idea which has grown to 9 pages. Go figure.
I had also planned to email them to our state and national park systems as well as my congressmen and encourage others to do the same. Possibly offer them to campsite type websites as an informational page for them to include in their site. This information would of course need to be disseminated as much as possible.
Would it do any good? I am not sure, but I am attempting to address the problem with action. Albeit possibly futile. Until lately I have always enjoyed camping. My sincere interest is in not loosing that enjoyment.
“Just learn to be courteous”.
Sorry, but DUH… Reality is where we live. If people knew “to be courteous” then I would not be attempting to learn from the choir.
My thought was… People, “Beginning RVing People”, may need to learn this because they have no example to base their “etiquette” on. My "etiquette" was based on my parents… I learned quickly. After 28 hours of driving back from Yellowstone NP… I am searching for solutions, not more pages.
I like the Margarita idea… I truly do…
There have been a number of constructive posts. I thank the choir for those.
Thank you…
