Changing oil and engine idling after long trips?

I call oil Mechanic Repellant. Almost 170,000 miles on the truck now & most of them have been with a 13,000# 5er behind. I try to change every 3000 miles these days Use the best oil, synthetic, & better than basic oil filter.

Transmission gets an oil change & new filter every year too. Also the Differential gets an annual oil change.

Cheap insurance I figure. Seems to work. The Isuzu 6.6L & Alisson have been flawless for 10 years.
