I figure that by the time & have started up fussed around getting the trailer hooked up, shut down while the DW finishes getting the inside ready for the road, start up again, get off leveling boards, putter on out of the CG, whatever to the highway, we are plenty warmed up.
At the other end, by the time you come off the exit ramp & get into the CG things should be cooled & no need to idle.
I like the smell of diesel in the morning as much as the next guy but no, I don't want to listen to it on & on rattling away if it is an old Ford or Cummins. I am not impressed. I am irritated.
