The whole "China bomb" thing, as applied to tires, is overblown, imo.
I said the same thing until it happened to me two months ago causing thousands of dollars worth of damage. Always properly cared for with perfect air pressure. Traveling along and all the sudden the tread delaminated.
Look at the NHTSA website. 52 pages of complaints on the towmax China Bomb tires is certainly not "overblown"
