Hi,
300 watts is about 1023 btu's. Or about the same heat as five candles burning. It's not going to keep you warm. You will be lucky to be able to run it for four hours on the battery bank that you plan to create. It will take many hours to replace the energy that has been drawn from the battery bank.
I suggest getting a Platinum Cat vented propane heater instead. It is power vented and has a thermostat to regulate the heat.
Propane is heavier than air but CO is nearly identical in weight to normal air. I'd suggest following the directions of the makers of the detector units.
I, too, think that the inverter charger you have chosen is "bottom of the barrel".
The Champion open frame generator will certainly take the "stealth" aspect out of any where you run it.
