Why are so many people trying so hard to talk me out of this? I DON'T want to get an RV. I DON'T want to pay rent on another location when I'm already paying rent in my resident county. I've already made up my mind that I am going to do this. All I'm looking for regarding any feedback is the best way to go about doing what I want to do as the details are not hammered out yet.
My reason for "stealth" is only for when I'm not with the van. There are lots of places to park the van and sleep in it where I will not be hassled. Walmart is one prime location. Walmart allows overnight parking. As for the matter of using the generator, I would never use it while asleep. Only long enough to charge the batteries when needed and only when I have no place to plug into a land line 110v AC outlet.
I came to these forums because I thought people here would have good ideas regarding how to deal with the technical aspects of camping in a "RV".
Camping in a van/RV would save me money because I'm not commuting or paying extra rent. Using a van would give me a vehicle that I need to get to and from college but would also give me someplace of my own to sleep and "live". Using a van would also let me have a multi purpose vehicle for doing more then just living in it. The ONLY use for an RV is for "camping". I can't use it to haul stuff and it's a major waste to use an RV just for transportation.
