You seem have all the basics figured out pretty good ,except that electric heater which uses way too much electricity to be functional as it will kill your batterys very quickly!!
find different way to heat the van..
I think Calcium suplements should help to combat arthritic condition,along with other vitamins,minerals..Google natural cures for more helpful advice..
