As someone who also suffers from back & joint pain I can tell you, the vans not a great idea unless you're going to go to school in Arizona!
I spent a few weeks in my Class C motorhome (with an electrically heated mattress pad and propane furnace) in the Pacific North WET.
Boy did I suffer!
The dampness in nearly impossible to get rid of in a space that small.
