In this current economic atmosphere there's lots of folks looking for longer term free parking. Witness the list of Wally-worlds that are no longer useable for overnighting.
Never happened to me and I stayed at many truck stops many many times,night after night,..
If it did Id never buy anything at that place...
After all trucks stops are made for that,stoping buying food and overnighting..
only time people may have problems is when they leave their rig there for a long time,blocking parking places
..Not a problem out west at all in any trucks stops,as they all have plenty of space,
though I imagine in metropolitan areas might be different story..
