Thanks. I contacted Rockwood directly and they told me that their trailers are, in fact, compatible with WD setups. So I guess the stuff I've read to the contrary was fake news.
Not fake news, but contacting Rockwood was the correct course of action, and hopefully they gave you correct info because sometimes the person on the other end at Forest River knows less than you do. Were they referring to the exact model you own, or their trailers in general? Was it one of the actual brand service reps, or the generaL customer support girl? I called once with a question regarding my Roo 23WS and was told by the woman who answered that they do not even make a model with that number LOL, funny I was sitting in it at the time.
Put a WDH on a popup with a fabricated C channel for an A frame, even the LD Reese mentioned, well good luck is all I can say. Keep a close watch on those C channels if that's what yours has, which we do not know as you have not mentioned the model number or made note of it. Regardless it sounds as if your mind was made up before you ever asked the questions.
