C W in Indy. Went in to buy a 3" "O" ring for mu sewer cap a 2013 model and guess what ? it's a special order. Really! it's a standard rubber "o" ring. we all have them, they do get old they do break. So why a special order. And the sales person say " can't carry everything" and walks away. And they want to know why they get a bad rap.

I had the same problem a few YEARS ago with the same Camping World. Rather than fighting city hall, I just bought another cap that included the ring. I took the ring out, used it on my old cap (it fit better anyway), and went on with life. Sometimes, it's just easier to compromise.

I would not expect there to be very much demand for said 'O' ring. Hardly worth condemning CW over that.

I wonder if you went to the plumbing section of Lowes or HD they would have the size you need. Just a thought.

That's a pretty specific part. Not surprised they didn't stock it. Overall, that CW treated us pretty well, fixed both our breakins on time and on budget. Much better than some of the horror stories I've read here.

is that all you have in your area is a cw we have four rv stores within 6 miles of us and several rv dealers we rarely go to cw

Make a penny and not loose a sale or maybe lots of sales. I don't shop with them just because they don't carry many of things I need but do carry lots of high priced extras that I would never use.

Home Depot dropped most of their "O" ring stock due to "shelf space vs profit"..wasn't even close....Dennis

So if the o ring is cheap, doesn't take much stocking space, and is a common used RV item, why not stock a couple. Better to point a customer to the product they need than to turn them away.

NAPA Auto Parts. They usually have a large stock of "O" rings.

Not a big seller.

I would not expect CW to carry them.

This thread reminds me that I need one of those O rings. I know I've seen them at RV parts houses before.
I guess I wont try CW though.

Probably available a most any industrial supply house.

I don't think "O" rings would be a core inventory item at any RV supply outfit.

Check the shelves/racks (it is a hanging pouch) Camco O-Rings..Package of 4 In the Sewer hose/adapter section...Wal*mart (Selectd)may have them as well.
