I used to believe that Honda/Yamaha were the answer. I had a EU2000i last year. My buddy bought the Champion 2800 and we tested them side by side. The Champion was just slightly louder (barely noticeable) in eco mode. The Honda was slightly louder in high mode. The Honda could not start/run my 15k AC, the Champion could. I sold my Honda for what I paid for it on Craigslist and bought the Champion at Costco on sale for $699.
