I did it at the first campsite we stopped at. Just needed water at the site to do it.

Yes, several times Usually because as I do not have a dump station at home, the campground s the first place I can flush the lines and tanks, and have a sewer line to carry off the water. If I flush lines at home, it all has to go in the tanks, which means I need to dump anyway. Our irst each year canpground has a good sewage system, and I connected to our local water system, which has good water. So we go with dry tanks, and antifreeze, and leave with fresh water in tanks, lines and water heater, and almost empty grey and black tanks.

After dewinterizing thys also a good time to sanitize the fresh water system. A cup of bleach in the fresh water tank, fill it with water and run it through the lines. Let it sit for a few hours. Then drain the tank and fill with water and run through the system.

Standard MO for us. No home to take it to. A CG is last stop before storage & first stop after storage.

After sanitizing one now has a system full of bleach water including the Fresh Water tank. My latest trick is to open the FW tank drain when leaving the campground and let it dripple onto the highway. It's usually gone in time for the next stop/campground.

I do it at home since I like to insure the hot water heater is working before I leave for the first trip. The couple of gallons of anti-freeze I use to winterize and the few gallons of water used to clear the lines that gets flushed into the holding tanks shouldn't be an issue when traveling to the first campsite of the season.

Our first trip of the season has always been to a CG where I get a site with full hook ups to dewinterize and sanitize the FW tanks.

Why not? CG people can't tell if you are doing it. And it shouldn't matter anyways. Doesn't hurt anything. Just close the low point drains before leaving.
I always dewinterize at home first to make sure all systems are a go. But I understand some can't do that.

Do it before you take off, never know what problems will come up.
Without power at your storage location I hope you disconnected the ground on your batteries. If you didn't they will be dead.
