I have to agree with Bikendan...especially if you're going in late June when all the grandkids are out of school and grandpa and grandma want to take the kids to Disneyland in their RVs. We tried to find a space 2 years ago in June but we waited until Feb and we had no luck. For those that think you can park in the Disneyland parking lot overnight--no way. They allow day parking but nothing overnight. My suggestion is to start calling the RV lots mentioned in the post ASAP and hope you get lucky. You'll probably pay about $80 a night for full HU.
I paid about $56 a night. Although $80 would still be a bargain compared to hotels, about double that for the cheap ones. PLUS they charge another $10 to $20 per night for parking. You do get coffee and a muffin in the morning though. - Ski_Pro_3ExplorerAlright,
I'm here to warn everyone.
I'm staying at the Anaheim RV park. Takes maybe 20 minutes to walk it or wait for the bus. Either way.
My son was staying in Pasadena. About 30 miles away. (31.2 miles actually) Yesterday morning he left there at 6:30am. He got to Disneyland 2 and a half hours later. So, don't go thinking that anything further than 10 miles out is going to be anything less than an hour drive. Not on weekdays during their 'rush hour'. (defined as anything between 4am and 10pm weekdays. - RecumbentmanExplorerAlso take a look at Canyon RV park its within your 1 hour drive

well, you better make reservations as soon as you can, anywhere you plan to stay in California.
popular and coastal campsites are gone the minute they become available for reservations, at least 6 months in advance. - BuckeyewritingExplorer

Looking for a campground that offers a pool somewhat close to Disneyland , we don't mind driving a bit out of our way but prefer it's not longer than one hour of drive time away.... any tips?
what time of the year are you asking about?
makes a BIG difference.
We are going to be there in June - ependydadExplorerAnother vote for Anaheim RV. I personally wouldn't walk to Disneyland from there, but it's definitely doable.
We stayed there for 4 or 5 nights last November.
I'd happily go back. - Ski_Pro_3ExplorerToday it is 94 degrees at Disneyland. NINETY FOUR!! Man, it's HOT. We came back to the RV, turned on the air, and now ready for a nap until this evening when the weather can better put me in the mood for fun.
As far as the trees and Sat dishes, just tell 'em when you make your reservation what you want to do. They'll set you up in a spot that allows for a dish. Sure as the sun comes out down here, another person will complain that there isn't enough trees and it's too hot.
No, there's not a fence around the whole place. I don't see why it matters. There's fence around most of it. The back side has a neighborhood that's separated by a fence. Across the street is an elementary school, so no problems there. Each side has fences too. The grass is green, the grounds are clean, the bathrooms and showers are as good as they could be for a campground. Everyone is quiet and respectful of their neighbors each time I've been here.
Check it out on google earth for a sat view of what you can expect.
