Not quite sure what you are talking about, but I heat with wood and our TV is right beside the wood burning fireplace. and it never has been hurt.
I am guessing that the area near the TV is usually about 80 degrees.
As I am writing this, it is blazing away and my wife is watching the TV.
I wouldn't put the TV above the fireplace. Heat rises, and it is much hotter a few feet above the fireplace
