Does heat from fireplace damage lift TV?
I would think that if the TV is down in the cabinet when the fireplace is operating, the heat would damage the TV. Maybe the logical answer is to have the TV up above the cabinet when using the firep...

I wouldn't put the TV above the fireplace. Heat rises, and it is much hotter a few feet above the fireplace

The newer rigs have TVs in lift cabinets that go down behind the electric fireplace. It is out of sight in the cabinet, but comes up via electric motor lift.
