Good to know, Ron3rd. Campigloo, it has been a year or two since we last looked, but everything we could find had a small section that could move, but we never found another truck where the entire back window rolled down. We could have just not been looking in the right place. The Toyota salesperson we talked with back then didn't even know it was a feature they offered until I pressed him about it. He was young though. I am fine with it costing a similar amount to rv vs hotel every night, but if it is much more expensive I might consider a completely different set up in which we stick with the half ton and get a more modest pop up or something that can use the standard hitch for recreation purposes. Still leaves a bit of a conundrum with wanting to trailer that and the car though. Would still be stuck either both driving or shipping a car. Let me ask this: is there a small toy hauler that would say, have enough room for the car and then just a sleeper section? That might be within towing capacity? As far as the space issue, as long as I could get the car in with a little clearance, I could climb out the hatchback. I could deal without a kitchen or facilities I think, assuming we stopped at KOAs or other places with bathrooms, right? Or am I being naive about it?
I don't know much about toy haulers, except they tend to be HEAVY. Others might chime in here with a recommendation on a small on that will do what you want.
