Buy the rig that is best suited for your immediate needs as you can plainly see there are pros and cons whether you buy new or used. I have no problem with buying used, but would never do so from a stealer...er dealer that is. Our current rig was purchased new, but has never been back to the dealer as I rectified the very minor cosmetic issues that developed during the first year rather than having it tied up at the dealer, plus the repairs are of much higher quality.
Our next door neighbor purchased an RV about a month after we purchased our rig (did the same thing when we purchased our HD truck) and has maybe used it half a dozen times over the years. Somebody will save tens of thousands when buying his nearly new, mint condition 5er. Bought 3 cars over the last two years for my teenage/college kids and saved a bundle buying gently used vehicles driven by elderly folks who always maintain their cars by the book. Payments are half of what new would have been.
