"Don't Buy New"
I notice a lot of you say not to buy a brand new rv unit. I'm "assuming" this is because it takes a while to shake all the right-out-of-the-factory bugs out of it and locate all the problems associat...

I didn't read all 9 pages, but if I repeat something somebody already has said , well then they get the credit ;)
One major thing I have learned is if your not sure what you really want (we were all there at one time)
Start out with a used "Older" one if your handy ! That way you can clean it up enjoy it and learn what works and doesn't work for your needs. Sell it and move up.
In my case , never owned anything but a tent then got a single pull out tent trailer back in the 80's made one trip realized no way it would work, so we sold it.
Got out of camping for years , speed up to 4 years ago, didn't want a trailer, wife goes to the bathroom too much. we'd be pulled over all the time !
So we decided on a Class C we found a 2001 GS Conquest Sport 23ft with couch across from the dinette. Thought it was perfect. Well with my bad back found out real quick climbing up and down to sleep in the overhead was not going to work.
Pulling the jacknife couch out no good either. Didn't even consider the dinette into a sleeper.
So we sold that one, I was on the fence of buying new . I won't go into which brand but knowing we wanted a shorter one. 25ft or less we needed a bed , so being only wanting a shorter MH thought the bed in the corner would work out fine.
I was just a phone call away from buying a Brand New C with the corner bed set up.
Well the day before (Sunday) I was going to call the place and get serious on a new one. I got a call from a guy that had one listed on CL and it was finally ready to sell.
We went and looked at it, bought it, I did a ton of work on it before we even did our first trip. Guess what that corner bed ain't working out so well !!.
I'm in this "new to me" 2005 Thor FW 5000 23A roughly $21K so I can detail it out nice and easily sell it for $25K.
So this long drawn out post here is could you ( I ) imagine how I would be feeling now had I bought a Brand New One at close to $70K and NOT liking it because of the corner bed is not working out..
So I may sell this one come spring and look for abit longer one with a walk around bed with NO slides...
I'll be priced out of a Brand New One with a walk around bed type, so I'll be looking used !
