Ah there is the difference ...... we never go to most camp area on a weekend, why because we don't have to.
Being retired has its advantages, many nation spots and local one too are empty on Tuesday but on Friday all the worker bees show up and try to enjoy the outdoors.
That said we are not into the survival thing wither, been there did that. Now we go on the casino circuit and just use the TV to go to the remote areas or the lesser spots to see this great country.
FYI. There were 4 campers in the loop we were in. There was not another camper within 75 yards on our side. and they were on the other side of trees, we could not even see their lights. How much more isolation do you need?
I get all the isolation I need at the casino RV park. If I want more I go for that but certainly don't need it as a criteria for RVing.
I did your style when I was a boy scout. 2 matches to light a fire, clear the snow to put up the tent and on and on. That was 57 years ago. Been there dome that. Today it is far more fun to have the luxury of the RV and the choice of the place to be.
